Perform professional engineering work in the design, investigation and construction of street and transportation, signal and lighting, utility (water, sewer, and surfacewater), and other public works projects. Prepare plans, specifications and requests for proposals and bids. Review plans and specifications and assist in the coordination and management of consultants’ design work. Coordinate projects with construction and operations, other city departments, outside organizations, and with funding and regulatory agencies.
-Three years (3) of increasingly responsible professional civil engineering experience. Experience in civil, transportation, water, sewer, stormwater, signal and lighting, and pavement design preferred.
-Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field.
-Possession of an appropriate, valid driver’s license, and certificate of registration as a professional civil engineering in the state of Washington (or ability to obtain through reciprocity within 6 months).
