Part Time - Entry Level
An assistantship is available for a student who is interested in pursuing a Ph.D. degree in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at the University of Illinois. The project is related to livestock animal waste management and utilization. The goals of the project are to convert animal wastes to value-added products and energy, to reduce the risk of spreading infectious diseases, and to minimize adverse impacts of waste management on the environment. 1. MS degree in biological, agricultural or a closely related engineering field 2. Experience with biochemical degradation processes (composting, fermentation, anaerobic digestion) 3.
