The Coordinator, Security Technology reports to the Program Manager, Security Technology Systems. The Coordinator works within the Security Department team and focuses primarily on the support of video technology, access control systems, emergency notification system, and related systems, made up of hardware, software, and equipment. This position is responsible for the technical details, application use, and business implications on a variety of Capital Metro’s Video Systems that includes Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and custom developed software on client-server, multi-tier, web and/or mobile platforms. Provides technical support to analyze, design, test, document, implement and manage systems. Ensure reliability, stability, state-of-good-repair preventive maintenance and maximum up-time of technology systems.
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Related experience may substitute for degree requirement on a year for year basis up to four (4) years. •Three (3) years of experience in Information Technology. •Three (3) years of experience in supporting technology systems •Experience in working on and supporting multiple projects related to commercial off-the-shelf applications or custom-built system. •Experience with Security Technology Systems with emphasis on Apollo video technology, Genetec video technology, S2 access control and Everbridge emergency notification systems, integration with third party systems preferred. •Experience in troubleshooting, analyzing logs, utilizing debugging tools, obtaining technical assistance from software and/or database vendors or via advanced search on the web and timely resolution of technical problems for technology systems.
