 Duties: 
 We are Duties include but are not limited to design of water and wastewater infrastructure; preparation of hydraulic calculations and reports; project and client management; business development; site visits and coordination with clients and staff; analysis of water resource management strategies; program and construction management support; and review and development of environmental compliance and permitting strategies. You will have the opportunity to manage all aspects of a project from proposal to project startup and completion. Additionally, you will engage in marketing pursuits and business management, supporting staff development and strategic growth. 
 Expectations:  
 Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, as well as an eagerness and enthusiasm to work in a team environment on a wide variety of engineering design projects throughout California.

 &#xa0; Requirements &#38; Experience:  
 Position requires a B.S. in Civil, Agricultural or Environmental Engineering, with a minimum of seven years&#8217; experience in design and project management of water/wastewater/recycled water transmission, pumping, storage, and/or treatment facilities. An M.S. is also preferred although not required for this position.&#xa0; Civil or Mechanical P.E. registration in California is required. Proficiency with MS office is required. Applicant should identify any prior experience working in AutoCAD as well as InfoWorks, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, BioWIN, and other hydraulic modeling programs. Compensation &#38; Benefits:

 Basic Responsibilities 
 This position supports protection of the electric transmission system through analysis, modeling, relay settings, verification of operations, mitigating measures to correct deficiencies, and collaboration with other workgroups.&#xa0; Accountabilities include providing support for projects in an assigned area of the service territory from concept through commissioning.&#xa0; Maintaining and demonstrating compliance with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) reliability standards for protection and control is an important aspect of the job, as well as providing support for transmission planning standards. 
 Minimum Qualifications 
 Engineer 
 &#8226; Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering; and, 
 &#8226; Four (4) years directly related engineering experience and FE or EIT; or 6 years related engineering experience. 
 OR 
 &#8226; Washington State Professional Engineer License (PE), or ability to obtain through reciprocity; and, 
 &#8226; Eight (8) years directly related engineering experience, four (4) of which are performed at an electric utility. 
 Professional Engineer 
 &#8226; Bachelor&#39;s of Science Degree in Engineering; and,&#xa0; 
 &#8226; Six (6) years related engineering experience, with two (2) of those years as a Lead or Project Engineer; and, 
 &#8226; Washington State Professional Engineer License or ability to obtain through reciprocity.&#xa0;&#xa0; 
 Principal Engineer 
 &#8226; Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering 
 &#8226; Nine (9) years of progressive applicable engineering experience, three (3) years of which are in a project engineer/lead engineer capacity in the electric or water utility engineering field.&#xa0;&#xa0;

 Examples of Essential Job Functions: Provides engineering support to the City&#39;s power generating facilities and associated plant equipment and systems to ensure operation of the facilities are proper, safe, efficient and environmentally responsible; develops and writes specifications for power plant projects and assists Purchasing in the issuance of request-for-proposals (RFPs) and bid documents; evaluates proposals and bids and provides analyses and recommendations to City staff, management, and Council; supervises alterations of plant and equipment; reviews plans, drawings, and specifications submitted by engineering consultants; conducts efficiency tests of the electric generating plant and on associated equipment; performs analyses, prepares reports and makes recommendations to improve plant costs, equipment efficiency, and safety of plant operations; inspects and performs tests on power plant equipment to assess condition, identify problems and potential for malfunction, and to design and implement plant and equipment improvements; oversees and coordinates work performed by contractors; may be assigned to supervise other employees; monitors industry trends and acquires knowledge of new methods and equipment which pertain to electric plant production, operations and maintenance. Provides assistance and support to the plant to insure environmental compliance; analyzes, recommends and implements cost-effective environmental control strategies and technologies; compiles plant information and data and prepares forms and reports as necessary to meet state and federal reporting requirements. May be required to develop load and generation forecasts and perform related analyses, along with entering schedules into the MISO power market. Gives tours of the power generating facilities to students, community groups, and contractors.
