Position Summary: The position’s primary function is directing the City’s Public Infrastructure Engineering (PIE) and Land Surveying sections. Duties are performed with considerable independence and discretion, requiring the exercise of extensive judgment and initiative in day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include development and management of the transportation?related Capital Improvement Plan, contracts and agreements with the public, as well as interacting with neighborhood groups, businesses, county, state and federal officials, and various consultants. Work is performed under general supervision of the Assistant General Manager of Underground Utilities & Public Infrastructure Department.
