Education, Licenses and Certifications - Enrolled and pursuing Land Surveying, Geomatics, Geospatial, GIS, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Knowledge and Experience - No experience necessary.
- General knowledge of math and trigonometry.
Competencies and Personal Attributes - Good hand writing and ability to sketch and document activities.
- Positive attitude and desire to learn.
- Strong math skills and interest in mathematics.
- Strong work ethic and team-player attitude.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule with longer hours while maintaining concentration in varying weather and site conditions.
- Must be able and willing to travel and work in other cities, including both urban and remote areas.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Fieldwork involves working outdoors in all types of weather, walking long distances, and standing for extended periods while measurements are taken. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds. Availability This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., overtime and weekends as required. Travel As a part of performing this position’s duties, travel will be required to respective job sites in Michigan and throughout the United States.
