LMI is seeking a senior Energy Program/Project Manager with experience in leading or supporting government strategic initiatives and associated program and project management activities. This individual provides executive level leadership, solution delivery, coordination and oversight of a team providing technical expertise to DoD clients. Supports the development and execution of projects, including assisting in the resolution of program execution issues, developing and coordinating communications and meetings, and other special projects. Monitors project execution and ensures achievement of project performance objectives.
Oversees delivery of solutions to ensure contract deliverables meet quality, schedule, and technical requirements.
Coordinates and communicates with multiple senior client stakeholders to define, develop and prioritize tasks/projects to be performed
Develops and fosters close working relationships with leadership counterparts
Assesses the viability and cost benefit of potential project opportunities, and advises client stakeholders to optimize program impact
Monitors team performance to ensure that projects are implemented, supported, and closed accurately and in accordance with key milestones
Ensures established project quality standards are clearly defined and upheld throughout the entire process of each project’s development and execution
Ensures availability of contractor personnel resources to meet project/contractual requirements
Coordinates and communicates with subordinate project managers to monitor project execution status, and assists in resolving potential issues
Coordinates with contracting officials (within the client organization and within the contractor’s organization) to ensure compliance with contract requirements
Prepares reports and briefs senior client representatives on project execution status and planned activities
Required Qualifications
MA/MS in business administration, engineering, or related discipline
12 years of experience in project development, managing complex engineering or technical efforts, and coordinating requirements with multiple stakeholders
Experience working with DoD organizations on technology, financial, and government contracting issues
Knowledge and experience in life cycle management and government acquisition principles
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Possess strong interpersonal skills, including an ability to collaborate well with others and build strong relationships
Ability to absorb and summarize complex issues
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent planning and organizational skills
DoD Secret clearance (minimum)
Preferred Qualifications
Professional certification in a relevant discipline such as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), Certified Facility Manager (CFM), or similar is a plus
Experience in development and management of large-scale energy projects
Experience in developing and managing renewable energy projects
Experience in supporting the US Federal Government, particularly with the DoD
