| Works closely with Quality and cross-functional groups (manufacturing and technical) to write investigation reports which are reviewed with customers. Work on many phases or sub-tasks of projects or entire projects of moderate complexity, with results impacting on project completion. Work under general supervision, reviewed at project milestones and/or on completion by Senior Management Organizational Relationships: Communicates directly with all Quality personnel and interfaces with other internal cross-functional groups (R&D/Process Engineering, Operations, and Logistics) specialists to implement an effective, documented process that defines product Quality requirements, best practice and training materials to support continuous improvement initiatives. Contact with Customers regarding investigations, joint ventures and Supply chain partners Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers. Communicate efficiently throughout the shop floor and with own and customer’s management Responsibilities: - Facilitates and leads problem-solving for root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) planning.
- Writes investigation reports for non-conformances and customer complaints.
- Reviews investigation reports with customers.
- Leads Quality Dashboard & Quality Metrics (monthly cross-functional team).
- Works cross-functionally with Manufacturing, R&D, Process Engineering, and Quality.
- Drives Continuous Improvement through identification of corrective and preventive actions
- Collate quality data for monitoring targets
- Applies quality and/or standard-setting body requirements to develop solutions, control and/or maintain technical documents and/or Quality Systems.
- Perform in-depth internal assessments and evaluations by collecting and analyzing accurate, objective evidence regarding risks and their magnitude.
- Determine the logic, adequacy and effectiveness of processes, systems and related requirements.
- Assist with training of quality awareness
- Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process or system
- Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), and Measurement System Analysis
- Keep up with current and developing manufacturing and engineering trends that concern product quality
- Undertake special projects as required
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities
- Quality control of work by appropriate reviews
- Write reports and present progress at project meetings and to clients
- Achieve goals within budget
- Conduct benchmarking studies to determine best practices/designs and future trends
- Plan projects or subtasks so they may be tracked and presented
- Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions
